APPROACH

We're committed to educate the pack in
Canine First Aid...

Why is Dog First Aid Training Essential?

When it comes to the safety and wellbeing of our beloved dogs, being prepared for the unexpected is absolutely vital. Accidents, injuries, and emergencies can happen in an instant—whether out on a walk, at home, or during playtime. Having the knowledge and confidence to respond quickly and appropriately can make all the difference.

For dog owners, professionals, and especially dog walkers, understanding canine first aid isn’t just a bonus—it’s a responsibility. In fact, dog walkers who are qualified in dog first aid are far more desirable to clients than those without formal training. Why? Because they provide peace of mind. Pet parents want to know their dogs are in the safest possible hands, and a dog walker who can confidently handle an emergency stands out as a true professional.

By completing our accredited Canine First Aid education programme, you won’t just gain a recognised qualification—you'll gain the skills to potentially save a dog’s life. This course goes beyond basic knowledge, ensuring you can deliver the best possible care while remaining compliant with both the Veterinary Surgeons Act (1966) and the Animal Welfare Act (2006).

In a competitive industry, first aid training doesn’t just set you apart...
...It makes you indispensable.

After dedicating over 20 years to the care industry, I chose to follow my true passion... working with dogs!

As a committed dog enthusiast and owner, I sought to deepen my knowledge and expertise. In March 2024, I joined Tammy’s Dog Training, where I am receiving mentorship from Lyn Dubois (APDT-UK 01100). Under her expert mentorship, I have acquired hands-on experience in training, agility, ring craft, canine behaviour, and communication with the aim in working towards certification as an APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) trainer.

My professional development includes attending webinars led by industry experts such as Victoria Stilwell and Karen Pryor, continuous research, and practical experience. I adhere to the force-free training philosophy and follow the Do No Harm Training and Behavior approach, as well as the Hierarchy of Dog Needs framework developed by Dr. Linda Michaels (M.A).

In September 2024, I successfully completed my Ofqual-regulated Level 3 VTQ Canine First Aid Instructor course, equipping me with the skills to support dog owners and professionals in providing optimal care for their dogs. This certification is fully compliant with the Veterinary Surgeons Act (1966) and the Animal Welfare Act (2006).
